Introducing the participants ... Part 3.
09.04.21
Besides two leaders of domestic beach soccer, which were discussed in the previous article, four other Russian clubs will take part in the "Intercup 2021": Saratov "Delta", Samara "Krylia Sovetov", Moscow CSKA and St. Petersburg "LEX".
All these four teams will be placed in the third pot, and they can meet each other at the group stage.

Actually, for Delta, the maximum result for InterCup is fourth place. In 2017 and 2019, the club lacked only a couple of goals to beat City and the Italian national team, respectively. Nevertheless, the team is always very confident in the tournament: the matches are very persistent.
This season, it is important to note that Emil Jabarov will once again arrive on the banks of the Neva River with the team. For him, this tournament will be the first international in the framework of the "new history" of "Delta". The coach returned to his native club, where he started his career, only in 2020, and, of course, the year was not the most productive for tournaments.
Nevertheless, in the Championship and the Cup of Russia, the team performed quite well: played in the match for the third place, and stopped at the quarterfinals in the Cup. In both cases, "Kristall" was an insurmountable obstacle for the Saratov team.
In 2021, Delta also managed to get some game practice. The team became guests of the capital at the NBSL Cup. In Moscow, they again stalled a step away from the medals, taking the fourth place as a result. But it is important that they were able to "run in" their newcomers – Dmitry Vasiliev and Nikolai Kryshanov. Their signing became known in the winter, other innovations, apparently, are not yet being prepared. At least, the official website of the club is silent.

However, in the phrase "well-known" there is a certain slyness, hoping for the following ambiguity: an attentive reader, looking through the presentation of the teams, could notice among the participants clubs that are taking part in this tournament for the first time, but have in their arsenal players who played in "Dynamite" in the tournaments of previous years. With Samara club, thanks to the vector of "rejuvenation" of the team, in some way, a diametrically opposite situation can happen.
And yet the beach soccer club from Samara has a rich history and knows what the taste of victory is. Among the regalia of the Evgeny Khramov team are the bronze of the Russian Championship in 2019, the silver of the Russian Cup in 2017, the silver of the Russian Championship in 2015, the bronze of the Championship and the Cup of Russia in 2011. Well, in the year of its foundation, Krylia Sovetov became the owners of the Russian Cup. As part of the international indoor tournaments that are held in St. Petersburg, the club stood at the very origins, not just taking part in the very first, winter, Grand Prix, but also taking gold in the 2011 OBSL.
In addition to the rich history, the “Krilya” has always been famous for strong legionnaires who were involved in the seasons. However, currently, according to the glory of the club's president, Yevgeny Khramov, the the new team is being built for the second year, the basis of which are the players representing their native city. Having taken part in the St. Petersburg Indoor Championship in March, the club brought two young players born in 2004 and 2002. And although the Samaritans plan to get experienced players engaged in games, including non-Russian ones, to the current Intercup, they are also expected to see several young people.

However, for two years in a row, the team did not show the brightest result, and now and then stopping in matches for 5-8 places. The squad changed significantly, there were rotations on the coaching bridge, but the red-blue team was completely unlucky on the St. Petersburg sand, which is probably why they had to wait for the tournament draws: CSKA returned to Dynamite only in 2017 by taking part in the first "Intercup" tournament.
Once again, two years were enough for Denis Verkhovsky. To catch on to the high lines did not work, CSKA literally cemented the seventh place. And again, the 2018 team was not much like itself a year ago: renewals went one after another.
Now that the Muscovites have decided to try their hand at Intercup again, it is worth noting that the team has a fairly good preparatory background. First, several fours were fixed in the composition since the Championship and the Cup of Russia in 2020, and secondly, not only the capital's representatives of the team had game practice in 2021, but also those from St. Petersburg (“MT-Optic”, which reached the final of the championship in St. Petersburg, almost entirely consisted of CSKA players).
Third, not so long ago, the Club took part in the international tournament of the NBSL Cup. All this, of course, should have a positive impact on the synergy of individually strong performers, which Peter Kapkov has at the moment.
For the last two years, St. Petersburg has been represented, both in the Intercup and in the Russian Super League, by only one club – Kristall. And now it seems that the situation is changing.
In addition to the orange-black super club, which has long been the ambassador of the city on the Neva, this year St. Petersburg will be represented by another rather ambitious team, which for the first time takes part in the spring draw of an international scale. This is, of course, about "Lex".

In addition to a number of experienced players, the club has a clearly expressed vector of development, in the direction of which stands the main "motor" of the purple, Alexander Khokhlyuk, who smoothly leads his team. It was obvious for a long time that the club would not limit itself to the competition of St. Petersburg, the rest was only a matter of time. And now this moment has come.
If you do not take into account the city confrontations of the Top League of St. Petersburg, which in the off-season gathered not only venerable players of St. Petersburg teams, but also the players of the Moscow Super League clubs, who from time to time took part in arrivals, and even "on a permanent basis", the first serious experience “Lex” players began to receive in 2019. It was in this year that the club took part in the Russian Championship, and then tried to compete for the Russian Cup in Sochi under the leadership of the current head coach of Lokomotiv, Alexander Elizarov.
In 2020, in the Championship of Russia, "Lex" won bronze medals.
The above allows us to say that for a couple of years, Alexander Khokhlyuk gently brought his players to the Russian Super League, so, for sure, the current " InterCup "is another" step " to ensure that another club appears on the national arena, strengthening the claim that the Russian Super League is the strongest in the world.
Despite the fact that the team will face more venerable clubs at the InterCup 2021, “Le”x has already formed an opinion about itself as a team that relies on a very organized game, teamwork and well-coordinated combinations. This is largely due to the mentor of the "purples" Viktor Kryshanov.
It is not for nothing that Alexander Khokhlyuk has repeatedly focused the attention of all those who are not indifferent to beach football on the fact that during the games the team clearly follows its plan.
So "Intercup 2021", especially considering the truly powerful composition of participants, is the best place to test the validity of their ambitions.
